It’s been an exciting couple of months for Reading as two new transport links open, benefitting residents and workers in Reading. l’s new Crossrail service, the Elizabeth Line, finally opened in May. The line runs from Reading to Shenfield in Essex and Abbey Wood in Southeast London, giving passengers from Reading a faster commute, and from 2023, a seamless transition into central or East London. This will make commuting not only easier but faster, strengthening Reading’s links to London and as a rising hotspot for commuters.

Green Park Station Opening

It will also benefit residents of Green Park Village and Reading Football Club supporters, whilst reducing congestion on the A33 motorway by offering an alternative, sustainable mode of travel.
