1. Ascot Racecourse Spring Family Raceday (Sun 30th March 2025)

The weekend before Easter, Ascot Racecourse will hold its springtime extravaganza. Immerse yourselves in the delights of Jumps racing, family revelry, and special character appearances!
Witness the grand finale of Ascot's Jumps season, revel in high-value races and be sure to give a hearty cheer for the seasoned equine athletes during the Veterans' Chase! The event features various family entertainment options: a highlight of the day will be special appearances at intervals by the beloved TV character, Bluey - making it perfect for visitors of all ages.

2. Easter Adventures at Basildon Park (5 to 27 April, 2025)

To celebrate two decades of filmmaking at Basildon Park, embark on a day of wheelbarrow races, giant popcorn bean bag toss and hopscotch the Hollywood walk of fame. Explore the beautiful parkland and gardens of Basildon Park and make your way along the trail for an action-packed day for the whole family!
The magnificent mansion provides a stunning backdrop for this Easter adventure, with additional craft activities and refreshments available throughout the day.

3. Easter Eggstravaganza and Mega Egg Hunt at Wellington Country Park (12th April - 21st April 2025)

Running throughout the Easter holidays, Wellington's Eggstravaganza is an action-packed event full of endless activities! With train rides, Animal Farm visits, mini golf and the Wellington Circus, it offers entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

The highlight Mega Egg Hunt takes place on Easter Sunday (20th April), with over 1,000 Easter eggs scattered around Wellington Park. What better way to celebrate Easter than with a traditional Egg Hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny?

4. Blenheim Palace Easter Festival (5th - 21st April, 2025)

6. Changing of the Guards in Windsor (Regular schedule throughout April 2025)

The changing of the guards at Windsor Castle is a great opportunity to indulge yourself in British culture with a demonstration of our military heritage and a celebration of the British Monarchy. Just 30 minutes from the centre of Reading, this iconic ceremony takes place regularly throughout April (typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, weather permitting).

7. Thames Lido Easter Spa & Dining Experience (20th April 2025)

9. Easter Sunday Lunch Cruise on the Thames (20th April 2025)

Celebrate Easter Sunday with a memorable lunch cruise along the picturesque Thames Valley. Hobbs of Henley offers a three-hour cruise featuring a welcome glass of champagne,  a traditional three-course Easter lunch, and live entertainment.
The cruise departs from Henley-on-Thames at 12:30 pm, journeying through some of the most scenic stretches of the river. This elegant dining experience combines beautiful  riverside views with excellent food and service.

10. A Taste of France Comes to Reading for Easter

A taste of France will come to Reading's town centre this Easter when a French market takes over Broad Street on Good Friday, 15 April and Easter Saturday, 16 April.
